I can’t even remember when I started practicing yoga. I know that it was a long time ago. But I remember realizing that yoga was more than just exercise, and starting to take it more seriously when I was pregnant with my second child. It was a stressful period of my life, and yoga helped me to manage both the physical stresses of a difficult pregnancy and the emotional stresses that come with many life transitions. I have been practicing yoga in a committed way ever since.
Years later, at another transitional point in my life, I again turned to yoga, completing my 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Breathe Yoga + Wellness Centre. I have been teaching yoga primarily at CamH since completing the teacher training in 2015, and love that I can offer many people an introduction to a yoga practice that can used as a tool for managing stress and enhancing physical health.
